WM-Air held its biannual stakeholder networking event at The Exchange on 20th June, national Clean Air Day. The event brought together local and regional stakeholders, fostering networking and exchange of knowledge. It was attended by ~45 external stakeholders from across the West Midlands, including regional and local authority officers and councillors, NHS representatives, public health practitioners, air quality consultants, and academics from local universities.
Bill Bloss provided an overview of progress that has been made in improving air quality across the region, and outlined a series of thought-provoking opportunities for further action across the West Midlands, stimulating much discussion and debate with the audience. The presentation and discussions were followed by a networking drinks reception (whilst the England vs Denmark Euro 2024 match was shown on the big screen!)
This was the third Clean Air ‘Community of Practice’ event for the region.
